The Firefighters Burn Fund, Victoria, B.C. and the The Canadian Burn Survivors Community are pleased to host the 2014 Canadian Burn Survivors Conference at the Inn at Laurel Point from June 11-14, 2014.
The goal of the Canadian Burn Survivors Conference is to renew harmony and balance for burn survivors and their families. The conference is held in Canada biannually and this year’s theme is “Empowerment Today – Fearless Tomorrow.” This is an opportunity to bring burn survivors from across Canada together so that they may provide support for one another, share their stories, and help each other heal from the psychological aspects of their unique injuries. It is also valuable for family members of burn survivors. They also are in need of support and socialization with others who can share their own experiences.
